Car Hire

Well perhaps not!

Well perhaps not!

Anyone who is visiting Burgundy for more than a day or two, is strongly recommended to hire a car. There are so many interesting places that are not accessible by public transport, that you will simply miss out unless you are able to get around. Wine tours and taxis can to some extent fill the gap, but only to a limited extent.

Car hire is made very easy. All the regular companies are available in the centre of the concourse at Dijon station. You will pay a bit more than if you hire from on out of town location, but for simplicity and ease of access, the station is hard to beat. All of the staff converse easily in English, and the process is generally fast and efficient. Remember that you will need a driving license for each additional driver.
